How to Lose Weight Quickly and Safely
Like so many of us, you've packed on a few pounds over the
holidays. When it comes time to make New Year's resolutions, weight
loss is on your short list of resolutions you intend to keep. So now
it's time to walk the talk. How can you lose weight quickly, yet
safely? You know about the food groups, proper nutrition and a
balanced diet, but somehow when it gets right down to doing it, you
get sort of a panicky feeling. "Can I really do it?" The answer is a
resounding yes! Losing weight quickly is easy, but doing it safely
requires a little more thought. Check out these simple tips and
achieve your goal with ease.
So your anniversary is coming up in March or your vacation plans
include a bikini. In either case, you want to feel as good as you
look. Losing weight quickly could be as simple as not eating, but
you know that's not a good solution. You'll lose the weight, but
you'll feel the worse for wear and your good looks will suffer.
That's not a winning plan. Losing weight quickly and well requires a
disciplined approach to the calories you consume, with an eagle eye
on the nutrients contained in those foods.
Fruits and veggies come so highly recommended, as well they
should be. These foods are loaded with vitamins and minerals,
antioxidants and fiber. What more could a dieter ask? Breakfast can
consist of a fruit smoothie, a filling concoction with all the
virtues of fruits, topped off with calcium from the milk or yogurt
part of this delightful beverage. When you add up the calories,
they're very few. However, you're full until lunch.
Make salad your best lunch friend. Again, losing weight quickly
does take discipline, but it needn't be torture. Load that salad
plate up with fresh, crisp greens and your favorite salad veggies.
Get some protein on that plate. Doesn't thin, grilled slices of
chicken breast sound good? Get out your calorie counter and do the
addition. It's a good deal.
When you're dieting, it's best to eat light for dinner. It's not
likely you're going out after eating and burning off calories.
You'll sleep better on a light meal anyway. Broil a small portion of
lean meat for a first course. Have a couple of slices of cheese and
a piece of fruit for the second course. Kick back for a few minutes,
then fix yourself a cup of cocoa and call it a night. The warm milk
will help you sleep. You've had a whole day of nutritious foods that
help build your body's strength, but the calorie intake has been
minimal.
Follow this general plan, enjoy good taste and plenty of
nutrition. Before you know it, you've achieved your goal and are
looking and feeling super!
