Atkins Advantage BarsThough they are
relatively new, many are trying the Atkins Advantage bars to see if
they can make a difference. These are not really for those who are
not following the Atkins way of life, but that does not mean they do
not have some advantage for anyone else. They are not full of carbs
so they will not be an instant energy boost. They will be, however,
a way to stay full for a few hours. These are not something that
seem to be accepted by everyone who lives the Atkins lifestyle,
however.
Those who are in the induction stage of Atkins should probably
skip these. The Atkins Advantage bars are marketed in some spots as
being okay for those in induction, but there are some that argue
that this is not the case, and because Dr. Atkins is no longer
running the company, they don’t have as much faith in the name.
These bars are good, but they may not be good for the first two week
of the program. The number of carbs the first two weeks is 20 each
day, and this might easily put someone over with the wrong type of
carbs.
The Atkins Advantage bars will be good later in the diet however,
and might be a very handy thing to have around. Those who are going
through ongoing weight loss should make sure they know that all of
the ingredients are okay with their particular step up the carb
ladder. Those who leave induction and go to ongoing weight loss
usually add a small amount of carbs as they go along, and they are
usually very specific carbs. Anyone wanting to add the Atkins
Advantage bars should make sure these are in line with where they
are in adding back some carbs.
These might be something to have handy when going away or simply
going to work. The Atkins Advantage bars will serve as a great snack
(if you like the taste) and will keep someone from feeling hungry
all day long. However, those following Atkins won’t have those sharp
hunger pains very often, but it is always nice to have something in
reach when it comes time to eat and it’s just not possible to have a
meal as needed. If not following Atkins, these might have more
calories than someone wants to have, but then again, if they fill a
person up, they might be saving calories in the end.
